ரணிலை அழைத்துச்சென்றவரை படுகொலை செய்ய முயற்சித்த ஈபிடீபி துணைக்குழு
மகிந்த ராஜபக்ச ஜனாதிபதியாக செயற்பட்ட வேளையில் நெடுந்தீவு மக்கள் பல கொடூர துன்பங்களை அனுபவிக்க நேரிட்டது . 12 வயது சிறுமியொருவர் ஈபிடீபி பிரமுகரால் பாலியல் வல்லுறவு செய்யப்பட்டு கொடூரமாக அடித்துக்கொல்லப்பட்டிருந்தார் . இதுபோன்ற தினமும் பல்வேறு கொடூரங்கள் ஈபிடீபியினரால் அந்த தீவிலே அரங்கேற்றப்பட்டுவந்தன . தமிழ்த்தேசியக்கூட்டமைப்பு உட்பட மகிந்த அரசுக்கெதிரான எந்த கட்சிகளும் அங்கு செல்லவே முடியாத நிலை காணப்பட்டது . இந்நிலையில் நெடுந்தீவுக்கு நேரடியாக சென்று மக்களின் துயரங்களை பார்வையிடுமாறு தமிழ்த்தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பு அப்போதைய எதிர்க்கட்சி தலைவர் ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்கவிடம் வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்திருந்தது .
முன்னாள் பிரதமரும் , நாட்டின் எதிர்க்கட்சி தலைவரும் , இலங்கையின் மிகப்பெரிய கட்சியான ஐக்கியதேசியக் கட்சியின் தலைவருமாகிய ரணில் புங்குடுதீவு குறிகாட்டுவான் இறங்குதுறையிலிருந்து படகு மூலம் நெடுந்தீவு மாவிலித்துறையை சென்றடைந்தார் . ஆனால் அவரை வரவேற்கவோ , அல்லது பயணிப்பதற்கு வாகனங்களை வழங்கவோ நெடுந்தீவு கடற்படையினர் முன்வரவில்லை .
நெடுந்தீவில் சுமார் பத்து தனியார் வாகனங்கள் காணப்பட்டன . ஆனால் எவரேனும் ரணில் குழுவினரை அழைத்துச்செல்ல வாகனங்களை வழங்க முன்வரவில்லை .. இந்நிலையில் இலங்கைத் தமிழ் அரசுக் கட்சியின் முக்கிய செயற்பாட்டாளரான மதிவண்ணன் ( சுதன் ) உள்ளிட்ட குழுவினரின் முயற்சியின் காரணமாக ஒருவர் தனது வாகனத்தை வாடகைக்கு வழங்க முன்வந்திருந்தார் . இதனையறிந்த நெடுந்தீவு பிரதேச சபை தவிசாளர் உள்ளிட்ட ஈபிடிபி கும்பலொன்று அவரது வீட்டுக்கே சென்று அவரை கொடூரமாக தாக்கி வீட்டையும் சேதப்படுத்தியிருந்தனர் .
பின்னர் மேற்படி லன்ட்மாஸ்ரர் இயந்திரத்தை ஓட்டிச்செல்கின்ற இளைஞனே துணிச்சலாக தனது வாகனத்தினை வழங்கியதோடு மாத்திரமல்லாது தானே ஓட்டிச்சென்றார் . பின்னர் அவரையும் இந்த ஈபிடிபி கும்பல் பல தடவைகள் தாக்குவதற்கு கொலைவெறி கொண்டு அலைந்ததாக நெடுந்தீவு மக்கள் கூறுகின்றனர் .
இலங்கையின் முன்னாள் பிரதமர் , எதிர்க்கட்சித்தலைவருக்கே இந்த நிலையென்றால் நினைத்துப்பாருங்கள் . தீவுப்பகுதியில் இந்த டக்ளஸ் தேவானந்தவின் கும்பலால் மக்கள் எவ்வளவு துன்பப்பட்டிருப்பார்களென்று .
1991 லிருந்து எமது தீவக பிராந்தியத்தினை அழித்து நாசமாக்கி வருகின்ற ஈபிடிபி தலைவர் டக்ளஸ் தேவானந்தவுக்கு இந்த புதிய அரசாங்கத்தில் அமைச்சு பதவி கொடுத்து வரலாற்று தவறினை இழைக்கவேண்டாமென்று ஜனாதிபதி ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்க அவர்களிடம் தீவகத்தில் வாழ்ந்து வருகின்ற மக்கள் சார்பில் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன் . –

During Mahinda Rajapaksa’s tenure as President, the people of Delft island had to experience many cruel sufferings. A 12-year-old girl was raped and brutally beaten to death by an EPDP official. Various atrocities like this were staged on the island by the EPDP on a daily basis. It was found that any parties against the Mahinda Rajapaksa government could not go there.
In this case, TNA had requested the then opposition leader Ranil Wickramasinghe to go directly to Delft Island and see the sufferings of the people
Former Prime Minister, leader of the country’s opposition and leader of Sri Lanka’s largest party, the United National Party, Ranil Pungudutheevu reached Delft Mavilithurai by boat from Kurikattuwan Landing. But the Delft Island navy did not come forward to welcome him, or provide vehicles for his travel
About ten private vehicles were found in Delft . But no one offered to provide vehicles to take Ranil’s group.. In this case, due to the efforts of the group including Madhivannan (Sudhan), a key activist of the TNA , one person offered to provide his vehicle on rent.

On behalf of the people of Jaffna peninsula Islands , I request President Ranil Wickramasinghe not to make a historic mistake by giving a ministerial position to Douglas Devananda, who has been destroying and ruining our islands region since 1991. –
